Lord, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.
Repeat them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2

Ever since the Fall, the forces of death and sin have exerted a consistent downward pull on human life and culture. But God, in his mercy, intervenes in seasons of revival – infusing fresh divine energy and life into our cold and dying world.

“Revival is a season of breakthroughs in word, deed, and power, that ushers in a new normal of God’s Kingdom.” – Rev. Ryan Pfeiffer & Rev. Dr. James Choung

As our world grows spiritually darker and colder, we need revival today – for God to send his Spirit to revive his people and use them to bring a spiritual awakening in our nation. We need revival today. God has done it before, in many places, at many times, all over the world.

“Revival is not an anomaly, it is a consistent pattern of God’s redemptive strategy to counteract the default mode of the human heart.” – Rev. Dr. Timothy Keller

We read about revival in the history books, old newspapers and magazines, and the pages of the Bible – but we long to experience revival in our time, in this place. Lord, do it again.

Pray for God to send revival – in your heart and life, your family and circle of loved ones, in your home church and the Sanctuary network, in Providence and the surrounding region.

O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you, bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit upon all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
