And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. – Ephesians 6:18

We extended First Seek another week because we felt that the spiritual work we set out to do was not yet complete. Beyond setting aside a few weeks dedicated to prayer, fasting, and worship, we believe that God is calling our church to raise the bar on the depth, discipline, and passion of our prayer lives moving forward – to permanently embody the spirit of First Seek, even after these dedicated weeks are completed.

We are inviting everyone in Sanctuary to participate in the same prayer prompt repeated every day in one form or another from now through Sunday: that God would increase our hunger, openness, and passion for his presence, and a greater depth of intimacy and determination in the personal prayer culture of everyone in our community.

Set aside 10 minutes or more each day to pray:
– Spend 5 minutes listening, allowing room in your heart for the Holy Spirit to speak
– Spend 5 minutes responding to what God speaks, or praying that God would breathe new passion into people’s prayer lives. Think of 5 specific people (these could be from your homechurch, family & friends, ministry team, or the fringes of our community) each day, or the same 5 for the whole week.

Gathering in-person to end First Seek with a small, socially-distanced night of worship.
