Daily Prayer

This chair represents your spiritual life.

It is your starting point and foundation. A lot of us want to be with Jesus, to be right where He is. We know that Jesus isn’t in the grave, he isn’t a busybody pacing around the throne… He’s fully seated in heaven. If our intentions are true, then that’s where we should long to be. This is one of the most missed yet powerful revelations in scripture, that we are seated with Him. Where He finished becomes our starting point as believers.

I was praying one morning, stressed and worried. I immediately heard the Father say to me, “Son, just stay seated”. This moment marked me, that God can actually do more in you and through you when you’re rested; then when you’re working and striving. As I enter this New Year, I want to return to the chair. To start my year seated in rest, returning to my royal position, and being fully dependent on my Father.

The invitation is there for you as well, to take your seat.

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” – Eph. 2:6
