God We Want You in the ECC

A Midwinter Prayer Gathering
for Renewal in the Covenant

Tuesday at Noon

We are calling the ECC to seek the lord for renewal in our time.

The folks in Church Planting are using the majority of their scheduled lunch to worship & pray for God to break up the fallow ground in the ECC and bring for renewal. This prayer gathering is FOR EVERYONE at MidWinter (not just planters). Our hope is fill the room with intercessors who are hungry for a move of God in our time.

Why

The Evangelical Covenant Church was born out of a hunger for renewal—a people who sought the Holy Spirit to lead, empower, and breathe fresh life into the church.

Many of us sense that same hunger is stirring. A group of leaders + planters from all over the ECC are hosting this prayer meeting…

because we want to want to see revival, not just in our denomination but in the West
because we want to reaffirm that the ECC is to be a people who are consciously dependent on the Holy Spirit.
because if we draw near to God, He promises to draw near to us (James 4:8)

Just as the early Conventicles of the ECC gathered believers to seek God’s guidance and power, we come together now, trusting that the same Spirit who moved then will move again as we pray for renewal/revival in the ECC

The Need Of The Hour

We believe the need of this hour is clear. In a time of cultural disorientation, division, and spiritual complacency, we need to come together to pray – to ask for renewal in our hearts, our churches, our streets, and our denomination.

God comes where He is wanted
and we want Him in the ECC.

You’re Invited

We’re inviting everyone in the Covenant to pack into the Church Planting Lunch on Tuesday at noon. Let’s link arms, fall to our knees and lift our voices for the future of the ECC.

Come, let us seek the Lord together.

Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
